Do I need a Covid-19 test to enter the cinema?

For outdoor events with more than 250 guests, event organizers currently have to check negative proofs from guests. This continues to apply after the June 1 decisions; the testing requirement was relaxed for outdoor dining, but not for events. Proof of a negative Corona rapid test is required for entry. This must not be older than 24 hours and must have been carried out professionally at a test station - self-tests are therefore not valid. The proof can be presented at the entrance in digital form or printed out.

Alternatively, proof of complete vaccination protection is sufficient. The second vaccination shot must have been administered at least 14 days prior.

Where can I find a testing center near one of the Sommerkinos?

  • Kulturforum
    • NEW! Rapid tests on-site: At the Kulturforum, starting June 10, on-site testing is available daily from 20:30 to 20 minutes before showtime for anyone with a movie ticket. No separate pre-registration is required. We recommend arriving at least 45 minutes prior to the screening.
    • Testzentrum Potsdamer Platz, Gabriele-Tergit-Promenade 17 a-d, 10963 Berlin (in Holmes Place). Three booths are available from 8 to 10 p.m. Pre-registration required. Walk about 10-12 minutes from the summer cinema. Registration via website or hotline: 030 814 003 300.
  • Charlottenburg
    • STAR MEDICAL Test Center Berlin-Charlottenburg, Gardes-du-Corps-Str. 10, 14059 Berlin. Testing is possible daily from 9 am to 10 pm. Pre-registration online is necessary, alternatively via the hotline at 030 219 65 143. Walking distance approx. 8 minutes from the summer cinema.

In all cases you must show a photo ID together with the negative proof.
